Our New Adventure

Loni and I (Mary) have been BFF since we were babies. We grew up in church together and our moms were friends. Therefore, we were with each other all of the time. Since graduating high school, getting married, having kids (Loni, not me), we've remained close. This summer, Loni and I started talking about how we wanted to open up a shop to sell our crafty items. We love to hand make things, try new things and just generally look at something and figure out how to make it ourselves. Therefore, our new adventure had begun. I found out about the online store etsy and have opened up our own etsy store. Loni is heading up our own domain website. Both websites will have most of the same items, sometimes there will be some differences. Since we live 1.5 hours away from each other, sometimes it proves to be a little difficult in getting together. I'm still working 7 on 7 off as a nurse and Loni is a full time mom to 2 children under the age of 2.
We've done 2 festivals so far. We started with the sweet tater festival in Crane Hill 3 weekends ago and even after a day of monsoon type weather, managed to make a profit. Then 2 weekends ago, we had a booth at the NEACA fall festival in Hunstville. It proved to make a much better showing! We got tons of custom orders and are hoping that we will see a return from handing out a bunch of business cards.
